Hogwarts
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the castle school in the Scottish Highlands, founded by Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. Students are sorted into four houses. The seven books follow Harry’s years there, from the first Sorting to the Battle of Hogwarts.

Harry’s Hogwarts letter, addressed to the cupboard under the stairs, names the school. He reaches the castle later, in the same book, by boat across the lake.
