The Snitch Dumbledore leaves Harry
The first Snitch Harry ever caught is returned to him in Dumbledore’s will. It opens only in his mouth, at the close, and the Resurrection Stone is inside.
Preparación
1Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal · Harry’s first catch
Harry catches a Snitch in his mouth during his first match, which is why that particular ball will later know him. At the time it is only a Quidditch save.
2Harry Potter y las Reliquias de la Muerte · The reading of the will
Dumbledore leaves Harry the Snitch. Scrimgeour cannot make it do anything. Words appear on it later: a reminder that Harry caught it in his mouth, and the line that it opens at the close.
Desenlace
Harry Potter y las Reliquias de la Muerte · The Forest, before Voldemort’s curse
Harry understands “the close” as his own death. He presses the Snitch to his mouth. It opens, and the Resurrection Stone that had been in the Gaunt ring falls into his hand so he can walk into the Forest with the dead beside him.
