Time-Turner

A Time-Turner turns the wearer back a short, fixed number of hours. Hermione uses one through her third year to attend overlapping classes. She and Harry then use those hours to save Buckbeak and Sirius. The Ministry later reports that its stock of Time-Turners was smashed.
