Philosopher's Stone
The Philosopher’s Stone, made by Nicolas Flamel, produces the Elixir of Life and turns metal to gold. It is hidden at Hogwarts behind a set of protections. Voldemort, sharing Quirrell’s body, tries to steal it. Harry reaches the mirror because he does not want to use the Stone, and Dumbledore later says Flamel will destroy it.
