The Elder Wand is the unbeatable wand of the Tale of the Three Brothers, passed on by defeat rather than by gift. Dumbledore won it from Grindelwald. Draco Malfoy disarms Dumbledore on the tower, and Harry later disarms Draco, so the wand’s allegiance ends with Harry. He uses it once to mend his own holly wand and returns it to Dumbledore’s tomb.
